Custom MCC Builds
& Retrofit Solutions

From single replacement buckets to complete vertical sections, we build what you need, when you need it. No distributors, no middlemen. Direct from our shop in Wyoming to your facility.

We Do One Thing.
We Do It Better Than Anyone.

MCC Depot started in a garage in Wyoming back in 2008. My dad had spent 25 years working on industrial electrical equipment, and he kept running into the same problem: facilities needed replacement MCC buckets, but OEMs either couldn't deliver them fast enough, charged ridiculous prices, or had discontinued the line entirely.

So we started building them ourselves. What began as a side project helping local plants turned into a full-time operation. Fifteen years later, we've shipped thousands of buckets to facilities across the country, from small water treatment plants to major manufacturing operations.

We're not a massive corporation with layers of bureaucracy. Our team knows MCC equipment inside and out. We answer technical questions fast, quote you a real price without the runaround, and get your bucket built and shipped faster than anyone else in the business.

That's the advantage of working with a specialized shop. MCC buckets aren't a side product for us. They're everything we do. Every day, all day. And after building thousands of them, we've gotten pretty good at it.

WHAT WE BUILD

Complete MCC Solutions

Every Motor Control Center is a system of plug-in assemblies ("buckets") that control motors, distribute power, and protect your equipment. We manufacture these buckets to your exact specifications.

Feeder Buckets

Circuit breaker and fusible switch feeders for power distribution. These are our bread and butter. We build hundreds every year for facilities that need reliable power distribution without the OEM markup.

  • Breaker feeders: 15A to 600A
  • Fusible feeders: 30A to 600A
  • Single or dual disconnect options
  • Standard heights: 12" to 48"
  • NEMA 1, 12, or 3R enclosure options

Starter Buckets

Combination motor starters with your choice of HMCP breaker or fusible disconnect protection. We build every configuration from simple FVNR starters to complex multi-speed and soft start units.

  • FVNR (Full Voltage Non-Reversing)
  • FVR (Full Voltage Reversing)
  • Two-Speed and Multi-Speed
  • Wye-Delta and Part-Winding
  • Soft Starters (10-200 HP)
  • NEMA Size 1 through Size 5

Complete Vertical Sections

Need more than a single bucket? We build complete vertical sections with multiple buckets configured to your specifications. Perfect for expansions, replacements, or new installations.

  • Full MCC vertical sections
  • Multiple bucket configurations
  • Main breaker sections available
  • Incoming line sections
  • Custom height combinations
  • Matching your existing lineup

OBSOLETE EQUIPMENT SPECIALISTS

Your MCC is "Discontinued"?
We Don't Care.

Here's a scenario we hear every week: A plant manager calls in a panic. One of their MCC buckets failed. They call the OEM for a replacement, and the OEM tells them the equipment was discontinued 15 years ago. The only option? Replace the entire MCC lineup, a $200,000+ project that'll take 6 months.

That's where we come in. We specialize in building replacements for discontinued equipment. We keep an inventory of obsolete parts, we've reverse-engineered hundreds of legacy designs, and we can build you a drop-in replacement bucket that works perfectly with your existing MCC structure.

The bucket we build will use modern, readily available components, so when you need parts 10 years from now, they'll still be available. But the enclosure, the stabs, the door mechanism, all of it will match your existing lineup perfectly.

Recent Obsolete Builds:

  • Westinghouse Type W starter bucket (original: 1962)
  • ITE 5600 Series feeder (original: 1968)
  • FPE 5325 combination starter (original: 1971)
  • GE 7700 Series dual feeder (original: 1978)
  • Square D Model 4 FVNR starter (original: 1975)

Got an Obsolete Bucket?

Send us your old bucket's nameplate info, some photos, and measurements. We'll tell you if we can build a replacement, usually within 24 hours.

GETTING STARTED

How to Identify Your MCC

Not sure what you have? Here's what we need to build the right bucket for your lineup.

1

MCC Type & Manufacturer

Check the nameplate on your MCC structure, usually on the main door or side panel. It'll show the manufacturer and model series. If the nameplate is missing or illegible, take photos of the handle mechanism and door. We can usually identify it from those.

2

Bucket Size

Measure the available height in your MCC structure where the bucket goes. Standard sizes are 6", 12", 18", 24", 36", and 48". Also measure the width (usually 20") and depth if possible.

3

Disconnect Type

Do you need a circuit breaker (HMCP) or fusible disconnect? What amperage rating? For starters, what NEMA size contactor do you need? If you're replacing an existing bucket, the nameplate or wiring diagram will have this info.

4

Voltage & Controls

What's your service voltage? (480V, 240V, 208V, etc.) What control voltage do you need? (120V, 24V, etc.) Do you need any door-mounted controls like start/stop buttons, pilot lights, or selector switches?

Not Sure About Something?

Don't worry about getting every detail right. Send us what you have: photos, measurements, old nameplates, whatever you've got. We'll figure out the rest. We've been doing this long enough that we can identify most equipment from a couple of decent photos.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long does it take to build a custom bucket?

Standard configurations ship in 5-7 business days. Complex custom builds or obsolete replacements typically take 2-3 weeks. If you're in a rush, we offer expedited 1-2 day builds with overnight shipping. Call us to discuss.

Do you offer warranties on custom builds?

Yes. Every unit we ship, whether it's a standard feeder or a complex obsolete replacement, comes with a full 1-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. We also provide free technical support for the life of the unit.

What if I'm not sure what MCC type I have?

Send us photos and measurements, and we'll identify it for you. We've been doing this for 15 years and can usually identify an MCC from the door handle mechanism alone. Include photos of the nameplate if visible, the door, the handle, and the stab configuration if possible.

Can you match my existing paint color?

Yes. Standard ANSI 61 gray is included at no extra charge. For exact color matching to your existing equipment, send us a color sample or photo and we'll match it as closely as possible.

Do you ship internationally?

We primarily serve the United States, but we have shipped to Canada and Mexico. For international orders, call us to discuss shipping options and requirements.

What's the difference between reconditioned and new surplus?

Reconditioned components are professionally restored used parts that have been cleaned, tested, and certified to meet factory specifications. New surplus components are brand new and never installed, typically manufacturer overstock at below-retail prices. Both carry our full 1-year warranty.

Can you build to my custom wiring diagram?

Absolutely. Send us your control schematic and we'll wire the bucket exactly to your specifications. We can also design custom control schemes if you tell us what you need the bucket to do.

Do you offer quantity discounts?

Yes. If you're ordering multiple buckets, call us for volume pricing. We also offer blanket order agreements for facilities that need regular replacement buckets.

Ready to Get Started?

Tell us what you need. We'll quote it on the spot and build it fast.
