What Is an MCC Vertical Section?
An MCC vertical section is the complete structural assembly that houses multiple motor control buckets in a single column. It includes the vertical bus bars, mounting structure, bucket compartments, and all electrical distribution required to connect your buckets to the main power supply.
Unlike individual buckets that plug into existing MCCs, a vertical section is a standalone unit that can be installed as a new addition to your lineup or as a complete replacement for aging sections. We build sections that are mechanically and electrically compatible with your existing MCC, ensuring seamless integration.

What You Get
Vertical Bus Structure
Heavy-duty copper or aluminum vertical bus bars sized for your amperage requirements (typically 400A to 4000A). Includes horizontal stabs at each bucket position for plug-in connections. All bus work is properly torqued, insulated, and tested.
Section Frame and Enclosure
Heavy-gauge steel vertical frame with mounting provisions for buckets, wire troughs, and accessories. Includes side panels, top, and bottom plates. Standard powder coat finish in ANSI-61 gray or custom colors available.
Bucket Compartments
Pre-configured positions for your specified bucket heights (6", 12", 18", 24", 36", 48" or combinations). Includes stab assemblies, mounting hardware, door latches, and bucket retention mechanisms specific to your MCC brand.
Wire Troughs and Ground Bus
Vertical wire trough for load wiring with adequate bending radius and fill capacity per NEC. Continuous ground bus bar properly bonded to the frame. Control wire trough if required for your configuration.
Top/Bottom Feed Options
Configure for top feed (incoming from above) or bottom feed (incoming from below). Includes appropriate cable entry provisions, supports, and transition sections to mate with your existing lineup.

Bucket Layout
Choose the number and size of bucket positions. Mix and match heights to fit your motor lineup (e.g., three 18" positions and two 12" positions).
Bus Ampacity
Specify your required bus amperage. We size the bus bars appropriately with proper spacing and insulation.
Voltage and Phases
208V, 240V, 480V, 600V configurations. 3-phase or single-phase as required.
Accessories
Control power distribution, auxiliary relays, terminal blocks, PLC mounting, or any other accessories you need.
